Main Function: To install either Intruder Alarms, CCTV and Fire Alarm Systems to the relevant standards and to provide the highest level of customer service through the maximisation of resources and sensitivity to costs and budgets.

Principle Responsibilities:

· To install the appropriate devices; dismantle and reconstruct equipment as required by the customer or ADT. Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and cleans up installation debris.

· Contact customer prior to the date of scheduled installation to verify schedule.

· Prepares estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or directions of supervisor.

· Follow proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures. Test operation of system to the signal-receiving centre to properly establish service.

· Report any changes, deficiencies or deviations in systems to supervisor.

· Correctly complete Engineer work reports, handover certificates/BSIA Certificates or checklist as appropriate.

· Promote ADT’s image at all times

· Any other duties in line with the post

Knowledge and Requirements:

· Must possess sound electrical knowledge and have proven background through recognised apprenticeship or hold similar qualification.

· Knowledge of the British Standard BS4737 (Intruder) or BS5839 (Fire).

· Must hold a full clean driving licence.

· Ability to lift, carry and climb ladders. To carry equipment, ie; cameras etc up and down ladders ensuring conformance to health and safety requirements.

· Ability to use power tools to repair and / or dismantle equipment

· Team Player
