Job Description

Job title:                    Subcontract Manager

Reporting to:             Head of Operations

Job summary:            To develop and manage ADT third party subcontractors across the region. Take full responsibility for the operational and commercial relationship ensuring business capacity requirements are met to the highest quality.

 

Role Responsibilities and major Activities

                                   

Ÿ         Ensure the reliable and consistent operation of our third party subcontractors and joint supply chain.

Ÿ         To manage a small ADT subcontract FLM and commissioning team.

Ÿ         To ensure all third party branch capacity requirements are planned and met consistently.

Ÿ         Introduction and operational development of new, additional subcontract resource.

Ÿ         Drive the subcontractor base to match the performance outputs delivered by ADT operational teams

Ÿ         Maintain, at all times, a focus on ensuring the quality and cost-effectiveness of services delivered to customers via the ADT regional subcontractor base.

Ÿ         Maintain sufficient reporting mechanisms to provide reliable and tangible evidence of delivery and to assist in planning and improvement programmes.

Ÿ         Create and maintain a centralised Subcontractor records / database

Ÿ         To set targets and objectives; manage the performance, delivery and development of ADT subcontractors in compliance with all company policies.

Ÿ         Ensure all third party subcontractors are compliant in all respects with relevant industry legislation and ADT policy

Ÿ         To promote compliance with all company procedures and processes 

Background and Experience:

Ÿ         Extensive operational management experience gained within a Field Operations environment – Subcontractor management experience essential

Ÿ         Management experience at a comparable level in a field based / operational environment.

Ÿ         Experience of financial management and budgetary control in a commercial environment.

Ÿ         Peer network and relationships within the Fire / Security industry and/or customer base.

Skills and Knowledge:

Ÿ         Excellent leadership and people management skills.

Ÿ         Experienced in field based resource management – Including the management of 3rd parties.

Ÿ         Relevant understanding and experience of a number of technical areas.

Ÿ         Sound understanding of company’s technical and commercial strategy.

Ÿ         Strong negotiation skills.

Ÿ         Ability to influence and gain buy-in at Senior Management level.

Key Challenges:

Ÿ         To drive control & consistency of approach to new business initiatives, process and planning activities across the business.

Ÿ         To grow a quality, manageable subcontract pool with the appropriate flexibility to meet ADT requirements.

Ÿ         To work with ADT Operational colleagues to achieve the company's operational / business plan.

Ÿ         To improve the quality of the customer experience delivered by the ADT subcontract base.

Operational Relationships:

Head of Operations, Operations Mangers, Regional Planning Manager, Sales Management team, ISG, HR, National Operations and ADT Subcontractors.
