Job Description
Job title: Public Sector Sales Consultant
Reporting to: Public Sector Sales Manager
Job summary: To respond to company provided sales leads and generate own leads in order to sell relevant fire and security packages and generate annual monitoring revenue (AMR).
To be accountable for the consistent achievement of Installation and AMR sales revenue across all existing and potential Local Government Councils, Education, Health Sector Hospitals, Primary Care Trusts (PCT), Doctors Surgeries, Dentists, Fire and Ambulance Services.
KPI’s
q Achieve quote output in line with conversion rates to achieve budget
q Achieve the targeted order value and margin on a monthly basis
q To sell AMR in line with the company targets across all product lines
q Achieve the level of targeted activity, audits, liaison visits as directed by the company
q Promote ADT products and services identifying sales opportunities for other sellers using the company sales enquiry logging system
q To sell the required level of product mix in line with the sales persons targets
q Achievement of set targets for company related activity, through blitz days, marketing campaign’s as introduced by the company

q Identification of target public sector market opportunities.
q Formulation of correct package for target Public Sector businesses, optimising cross-selling opportunities.
Scope
q Understanding of the key roles within the branch required to provide and maintain profitable business.
q Flexibility to adapt working hours to meet with customer requirements.
q Key contacts include: internal - other Public Sector Sales Consultants and Telemarketing; Public Sector Sales Manager; external - target Public sector markets and networking with Builders/Electrical contractors and Consultants
Responsibilities
q Self generate sales leads by networking, referrals and cold calling.
q Lead generation - qualification of prospects in alignment with target public sector market.
q Prioritise self and company generated leads to maximise new business sales opportunities.
q Build strong relationships with potential and existing customers from initial call strategy gaining their trust and respect.
q Attend potential customer premises to undertake surveys and progress sale.
q Sale of security packages including intruder, fire and CCTV products through effective sales strategy.
q Attend ADT site to process customer contracts and finalise administration relating to the contract.
q Identify and progress resale opportunities for premises with existing ADT systems
q Present ADT as a credible and professional supplier of fire and security products.
q Maintain knowledge of products and services and industry developments.

Experience
q At least 3-5 years sales experience in a Business to Business sales environment.
q Demonstrate a successful track record of achievement.

Knowledge
q PC literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
q Industry and Standards preferred but not essential
Education
q GCSE Maths and English grades A-C.
q A levels or equivalent would be desirable.
