CCTV & Video Surveillance
ADT has unparalleled expertise in designing and installing CCTV security systems from simple video surveillance systems for small shops and business premises to large complex projects such as urban traffic management systems, town centre surveillance systems and high profile buildings.
Utilising the latest in CCTV security technology, Video Analytics, ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition), High Definition cameras and IP (Internet Protocol) based CCTV equipment ADT is delivery solutions that are at the leading edge of CCTV camera technology, offering video surveillance solutions that are tailor made to meet our customers exacting requirements, ensuring that the system provides effective safety and security and delivers a clear return on investment.
Breadth of Solutions
Fast Alarm Response 24/7
ADT Monitoring Centres offer fast alarm response to burglar alarms, fire alarms and other critical conditions. With our video surveillance solutions these centres also perform remote video guard tours and video verification using the latest technology.
Digital Video Management and Storage Solutions
ADT offers solutions for all digital video recording and video data storage needs. The solutions are configurable and offer motion detection for specified areas and smart search capabilities to increase the effectiveness of the CCTV system .
Integrated Video Surveillance
ADT can help customers manage and integrate large-scale IP (Internet Protocol) video solutions. This includes the use video surveillance integrated with other security systems to provide a complete security solution utilising IP technology.
Visual Alarm Verification
Our visual verification of an alarm combines the images from the surveillance cameras with the burglary event being transmitted to an ADT UK based Alarm Monitoring Centre; live video sent to an ADT Alarm Monitoring Centre for burglary verification.
CCTV and Video Surveillance
CCTV and video surveillance systems have become an accepted security tool to help reduce crime, protect people and property. ADT offers a range of solutions for different applications and environments.
Video Analytics can be added to scan for specific patterns and then alert the user. Intruders, loitering and an object removed or left are some of the events that can cause an alert to the CCTV operator; increasing the effectiveness of the CCTV system.
Remote Video Monitoring
ADT solutions include 24/7 monitoring of a customer's motion activated CCTV system. When CCTV images are received at our Alarm Monitoring Centre from a customer's premises, ADT operators analyse them and take the appropirate action.
On-Site Video Monitoring
ADT offers an optional 24-hour on-site monitoring service manned by accredited ADT CCTV technicians who are trained specifically for your unique video solution.
Safety Surveillance Networks
ADT offers customise-set up of wireless video surveillance cameras and mesh networks providing video surveillance over a large campus or car park.
Automatic Number Plate Recognition - ANPR
ADT's ANPR can increase security and efficiency at your site as it reads and records number plates to help understand traffic patterns, identify visitors and control access where required.
Day/Night - During daylight hours the camera provides colour images and when it gets dark automatically switches to monochrome operation.
High Definition - These can be used to capture very fine detail such as sleight of hand thefts and can reduce the number of cameras required. They allow digitally zooming whilst maintaining resolution.
Thermal Imaging - These cameras can be used for detecting intruders over long distances (up to 4k) from the camera in zero light or poor weather conditions.
Pan, Tilt and Zoom (PTZ) - PTZ cameras can be remotely controlled by an operator to follow a particular suspect or zoom into an area. They can also be programmed to be operated by alarm sensors; for example when a door is opened the camera automatically pans, tilts and zooms onto the door to capture the event.
Digital Video Recording (DVR) - DVR’s allow CCTV video images to be recorded, archived and reviewed.
The main parameters of a DVR are the number of cameras or video channels that can be recorded onto it and the amount of storage space on the DVR’s hard disk drive.
The number of cameras being recorded and the amount of frames (frame rate) being recorded from each camera impact how much video data can be stored before the HDD is full.
Network Video Recording (NVR) - NVR’s are similar to DVR’s in terms of their primary function of CCTV video recording. The main difference is that NVR’s receive images from cameras via an IP (Internet Protocol) network as opposed to analogue coax type cables.
Hybrid NVR’s are now available which can have analogue and digital CCTV cameras connected to it to allow new IP cameras to be added to an existing system with legacy analogue cameras .
IP CCTV Tyco Integrated Solutions
Internet protocal CCTV (IP CCTV) security systems have a number of advantages and reduce the cost of installation if existing cable infrastructure can be utilised. Images can be kept secure and distributed to authorised people only.
As well as working across local area networks, CCTV images can be transmitted via wide area networks so that digital CCTV images can be transmitted from dispersed sites and viewed/archived at a central security control room.
As part of the Tyco family, ADT have access to the full range of high end CCTV solutions from Tyco Integrated Systems; including communication and surveillance systems for the capture, analysis, interpretation and reaction to events in the highways, city centres, passenger terminals, complex buildings, commercial premises and urban traffic environments.
These solutions can predict journey times, monitor people or traffic flow, detect incidents and provide vital information for bus lane enforcement and congestion charging.
The Tyco Mosaic digital integration platform allows users to progressively migrate from analogue to digital IP system infrastructure and adds the flexibility of controlling adjacent systems such as fire detection, access control and public address.
Additionally, as an Advanced Technology Partner to Cisco for video surveillance, Tyco Integrated Systems can deliver a wide range of IP CCTV solutions based on Cisco technology.
