The National Security Inspectorate is the specialist approvals and certification body that inspects companies providing home security, business security and fire safety services. Choosing an NSI approved company ensures that the contractor you select works to the highest recognised industry standards as demanded by the Police, Fire and Rescue Services and insurance industry. 

As a UKAS accredited certification body, NSI approves companies providing quality solutions across the security and fire sectors including : electronic security systems - intruder alarms / burglar alarms, cctv, access control fire detection and alarm systems manned security / keyholding services. 

All NSI approved companies must: 

  • meet all relevant British and European Standards for technical performance 
  • security screen all relevant staff (security companies) 
  • provide a high level of staff training and supervision to industry best practice standards are comprehensively insured to protect customers and staff 
  • are inspected every six months by professional auditors including random site visits 

 

In addition NSI Gold companies also must: 

  • meet the industry specific ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Standard 
  • demonstrate a long term track record of performance and evidence of reliability and stability
