During 2009, ADT UK responded to over 340,000 domestic burglary alarms. Luckily the majority of those alerts are due to pets moving into sensor-protected zones, people forgetting alarm codes and other accidental situations, but what about the 15,000+ that resulted in the police getting involved?
Of 46,500 reported burglaries in 2009*, thankfully only 1% was aggravated but with the average cost of a burglary being in excess of £2,300*, not to mention the sentimental value of stolen property, neither option is preferable. At ADT we firmly believe that it’s better to be safe than sorry.
Customer service means as much to us as it does to you
The peace of mind that comes with having a monitored alarm is one of the main reasons that many people chose to protect their homes in that manner. At ADT, we believe that the reassurance that you feel should go beyond just your safety. We believe you should feel confident in the level of customer service you receive.
When one valued ADT customer from Cambridgeshire had an attempted break in a few years ago, intruders attempted to gain access to her home whilst she and her husband were upstairs sleeping. Downstairs, she had a handbag with quite an amount of cash in as well as the car keys being easily accessible.
“On forcing entry, our Intruder alarm activated immediately causing the intruder to flee empty handed. In his haste to escape, he dropped his hat which detectives were able to use to obtain DNA from loose hairs. It resulted in the perpetrator being duly arrested!” - Mrs Lines, Cambs
We were delighted to hear that our customer’s ADT alarm helped to keep her, her family and their property safe.
