| DDM800 Interface Module for Added Benefits | |
| 15 June 2012 ADT Fire & Security has launched the new DDM800 Universal Fire and Gas detection module, which though one simple connection, allows the management of fire detection and alarm functions as well as a range of other non-fire events. As such, the module significantly reduces the amount of cabling, components and labour required on site while increasing the capability of the system - maximising the investment made. The DDM800 Universal Fire and Gas detection module can be mounted directly onto any MZX Technology® digital loop and is an efficient, easy and cost effective way of managing non-fire events. One interface replaces the need for a control panel, repeat indicator, additional cable and labour. Designed to accept any device, which operates within the industry standard 4-20mA range, one interface can be used for any two-gas detectors. These can be a mix of hydrogen or methane detection or oxygen depletion – whatever the requirement. In addition, the DDM800 Universal Fire and Gas detection module can be used as a straightforward means of providing an upgrade from a conventional to an addressable system by phasing in the changeover of conventional products, which can be interfaced directly onto a digital addressable loop via the module itself. Peter Lackey, Fire Product Marketing Manager for ADT Fire & Security commented: “The DDM800 is an extremely versatile unit and offers specifiers options and cost savings for a wide range of fire and non fire event management.” | |
