What is a Monitored Alarm?

A monitored alarm is usually connected to an alarm receiving centre which is manned 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and if an alarm is triggered the alarm receiving centre can alert the emergency services and/or a nominated keyholder. Alarm system monitoring can also protect against fire, carbon monoxide poisoning and personal attack.

For a monitored alarm to include emergency response it must meet set industry standards including the NSI NACOSS Gold Scheme.

All ADT alarms are installed to the NACOSS gold standards and are monitored via our UK based alarm receiving centres.

ADT SERVICE LEVELS

Platinum

  • ADT's alarm system monitoring centre will contact the emergency services (Police or Fire Service) to summon help as well as you and your keyholders
  • Two service inspections per annum, remote 24 hour engineering support (no visit required) and all other service calls, parts and labour

Gold

  • ADT's alarm receiving centre will contact the emergency services (Police or Fire Service) to summon help as well as you and your keyholders
  • Two service inspections per annum, 24 hour telephone technical support
  • Other service visits, works, repairs and parts are chargeable

Silver

  • ADT's alarm system monitoring centre will contact you and your keyholders to inform you about the alarm activation
  • Two service inspections per annum, remote 24 hour engineering support (no visit required) and all other service calls, parts and labour

Bronze

  • ADT's alarm system monitoring centre will contact you and your keyholders to inform you about the alarm activation
  • One service inspection per annum, 24 hour telephone technical support
  • Other service visits, works, repairs and parts are chargeable

Monitoring

The way ADT deals with your emergency is determined by the level of alarm system monitoring you have selected for your property.

Emergency Services Response

  • In the event of an emergency our alarm receiving centre will alert the appropriate service (Police or Fire), your keyholders and you.

Keyholder Response

  • In the event of an emergency our alarm system monitoring centre will alert your keyholders and you.

Maintenance

ADT monitored home protection system are fully serviced and maintained by our professionally trained engineers and now offer either Remote Engineering Support (RES) or 24 hour telephone support.  RES is an interactive telephone link between the alarm and our 24 hour helpdesk that means that over 85% of calls can be dealt with by telephone without the need of an engineer visit.

We offer two maintainance options; standard and comprehensive.

 The Standard option includes:

  • 24-hour technical support from the service bureau including remote engineering upport
  • Emergency call-out 24 hours a day, 365 days a year (chargable)
  • 12 month warranty for additionally fitted equipment
  • Routine inspection and maintenance visits relevant to the monitoring level (repairs and parts not included)
  • Self system reset
