Third party accreditation

Independent assessments are required by the CFOA scheme for all maintenance work from 1 April 2007 and for all design installation and commissioning of fire alarms systems from 31 March 2008.

They are also growing in importance as benchmarks of competence and quality.

As mentioned previously, only two UK schemes are acceptable to the fire brigade - LPS 1014 and SP203.

Having held LPS 1014 certificates for many years, ADT Fire and Security were the first national fire company to gain the British Approvals for Fire Equipment (BAFE) adopted scheme SP203 accreditation.
