University College London Hospital Case Study
|
The UCLH is protected by some of the most advanced fire and security measures in the health sector since it opened in 2005.
The Private Finance Initiative (PFI) hospital in central London has CCTV cameras installed at strategic points and is monitored by three central control rooms. Nursing stations in individual wards are now able to view images from the entrance to their own areas.
An advanced fire detection system monitors for any potential outbreak of fire and, if necessary control evacuation or activate the hospital's sprinkler system. |
