Helpful Home Security and Safety Tips

How Secure is Your Home?

How secure is your home?
  1. Windows  - Old fashioned or opened windows make it easy for burglars, UPVC are harder to smash.
  2. Garage - Great hiding place for burglars, especially if it is attached to the house; central lock and sheet metal door are easy to force.
  3. Pets - A desperate burglar is a dangerous burglar – pets are obstacles for disposal.  Cat or dog flaps and keys left in the lock = easy access .
  4. Front Door - One lock, therefore weak at the bottom and easy to force.  Letterbox can be used to ‘fish’ for car keys or open door from the inside.
  5. General Appearance - No window coverings?  Your valuables make tempting viewing, a note in your milk bottle tells more than just the milk man you are on holiday.
