The ADT Engineering Team
The engineering team is a vital part of our business. It is separated in to two divisions Installation and Service. The Installation team installs fire and security systems to new and existing customers. The Service team carries out routine maintenance and repair on existing systems.

The Installation Engineering Team
Are you good at understanding how technology works? Then this could be the career for you. As a member of the Installation Engineering team you will be responsible for the installation of security equipment in customer premises.

Installation Engineer
As an Installation Engineer you will be capable of building on your existing industry experience and knowledge to provide fully focused customer service delivery. Having superb knowledge of either fire or security systems, you will work to provide the solutions for integrated systems.

The main roles within this position are:

Installation of CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Systems or Fire and Extinguishing Systems
Train clients and end-users to operate systems
Provide close customer liaison and communication
Hand over newly commissioned systems to clients and end users

Installation Field Line Manager
Career progression within the Engineering team at ADT can result in the role of Field Line Manager (FLM).

Each FLM is responsible for managing and developing a team of engineers who deliver our promise of excellent customer service.

As an Installation Field Line Manager you have a thorough knowledge of the complete installation process, plus the drive to motivate a team. Attention to detail and the ability to meet project deadlines are essential. As part of this role you will:

Ensure the installation work is of the highest quality
Ensure all project timelines are met
Confirm project costs are within the project budget
Communicate the customers requirements effectively to your team
Ensure the health and safety of all team members
Identifying training needs
Ability to work under pressure and prioritise
Excellent communication skills

Installation Manager
You will have an expert knowledge of the installation of fire and security products. Your role will involve providing guidance to the Installation Field Line Managers and helping to manage the teams of Installation Engineers. You will ensure that all of our installation work is of the highest quality and completed within budget.

Projects
Projects Department
The Projects Department is responsible for the successful design and installation of large multi-discipline projects. The Projects team are particularly involved when the design of a bespoke system is required.

Project Managers
Project Managers have a wide range of responsibilities and must be able to demonstrate the following abilities:

Manage and co-ordinate the installation of CCTV, Fire Alarm, PA/VA, Access Control and Intruder Systems to their conclusion.

Engineer and procure all necessary materials in a timely manner.
Control and direct large teams of sub-contractors of several disciplines
Provide close customer liaison and communication from a commercial and technical aspect.
Take responsibility for the contract administration.
Complete projects in a professional and timely manner.
Manage method statements, risk assessments, COSHH regulations and additional aspects of health and safety legislation.
Negotiate placement of sub-contracts.
Formulate and validate final accounts
Prepare monthly variations

We are seeking experienced engineers to commission and install Intruder, Access, CCTV & Fire systems nationwide. You should have electrical installation experience, preferably dealing with fire and security systems, and have a strong desire to join the best in the business.
