Good News Grocery Case Study

Following an incident in store, Mark Eglinton, Manager of The Good News Grocery in St Andrews, realised that he needed to step up his security.

ADT visited the store in order to carry out a free security audit and provided a specification and quote designed to meet his specific needs. In August 2002, ADT installed an Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) system in the store, to protect the stock of cigars, together with items such as whisky and hip flasks. A CCTV system was also installed, including three static cameras.

After the systems were commissioned, Mark Eglinton commented: “The security tagging system seemed perfect for us. Since then we haven’t had anything go missing.”
