Johnson Controls Announces Agreement to Sell ADT UK Residential Business
Johnson Controls has signed a definitive agreement to sell its ADT UK Residential business to Intelligent Monitoring Group Limited (IMG), a leading provider of security services across Australia and New Zealand, with extensive experience in alarm monitoring.
The proposed transaction applies only to ADT UK Residential. Johnson Controls' Commercial Security Business and ADT operations across Latin America will remain part of the Johnson Controls portfolio and continue to operate as usual.
The agreement represents an exciting opportunity for ADT UK Residential to continue its growth under an owner with extensive expertise in the residential security sector.
Completion of the transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions. Until then, ADT UK Residential will continue to operate as normal, with no change to the services provided to customers and partners.
Jake Beecroft, General Manager, ADT UK Residential, said:
"This is an exciting step forward for ADT UK Residential. IMG has a strong track record in security monitoring and a deep understanding of residential customers, making them well placed to support the next phase of our growth. We believe this transaction creates a positive future for both organisations, bringing together complementary strengths, expertise and a shared commitment to protecting and supporting customers. Most importantly, our customers can continue to expect the same high levels of service and support they know and trust from ADT."
Once the acquisition is complete it will provide IMG with an established presence in the UK residential security market through the trusted ADT brand and its long-standing customer base, bringing together two organisations with a shared commitment to delivering trusted security solutions and exceptional customer service.
