ADT Smart Plugs

ADT Smart Plugs work in harmony with your existing ADT security system, allowing you to manage them alongside your alarm, cameras, and other smart home features. Through the ADT hub panel or Smart Services app, you can schedule, monitor, and control your plugs remotely, giving you more control over your home setup.

We’ve all done it: you’re halfway down the motorway when someone suddenly remembers they’ve left their hair straighteners switched on. When you’re plugged in to an ADT smart plug, you can not only check our smartphone app to see if the appliance is still on, but even turn it off remotely if necessary.

When motion is detected via one of our external cameras, or if someone presses the video doorbell, a lamp in the home can be set to automatically come on if it’s plugged into one of our smart sockets, instantly giving the impression someone’s at home.

Automatic lights aren’t very useful if every passing car or neighbourhood fox can set them off; that’s why you can easily set up ‘rules’ for our outdoor cameras to specify when lights connected to a smart plug come on (or stay off). This is dependent on what triggered the camera sensor – person, animal or vehicle.

Using location-based settings, not only can lights be set to come on when you’re a certain distance from home, but you can even tell your coffee machine to get a cappuccino ready as you walk through the door.

Your smart plug will also shut off automatically if the electrical flow exceeds the maximum power load, remember its last on/off status in the event of a power outage, and turn off any connected device if a sensor it’s linked to detects no activity for 30 minutes.
