When your ADT alarm is triggered, our responsibilities have only just begun. What happens next is crucial, which is why we offer three levels of response tailored to your requirements – including Keyholder, Private Security and Police Response.
What is a monitored alarm system?
With a burglary taking place in the UK every two minutes, our monitoring plans mean someone will be at your property almost instantly, even when you can’t be.
We hear it
Your security system sends a signal to our UK monitoring centre.
We assess it
As soon as the signal is confirmed, our security experts take action.
We raise it
We call you and your keyholders, the police, or a private security guard - depending on your chosen cover.
Monitoring cover that suits your needs
Keyholder Response
When your alarm goes off, we’ll contact yourself and your nominated keyholders. We’d always recommend an additional 2-3 keyholders, these ideally would be a trusted neighbour, friend or family member who live close by.
If you are unavailable, then we’d always advise choosing a keyholder who may be willing to go to your property (they don’t always have to have physical keys) and contact the police if required.
Police Response
For those who require absolute reassurance, ADT offers Police Response that ensures authorities are directly involved in responding to your alarm.
When an intruder alarm is triggered or person attack button activated, our Alarm Receiving Centre will contact your local police force and quote your URN number, at which point the police will attend and respond accordingly. The ADT ARC is ECHO-connected to help improve police response time.
Private Security
For added peace of mind, we’ll notify you of the alarm and send an accredited security professional to your premises.
There are two levels of cover to choose from. With our External Check service, a security guard will conduct a thorough examination outside your premises. Combine with our Keyholder offering and security will be able to enter your home and check inside, too.
