Our top spots to hide their Christmas presents
We all know kids, and even some grown-ups, are notoriously nosy when it comes to Christmas. You’ll often find these curious Christmas present hunters raiding wardrobes and rifling through drawers trying to find those elusive gifts before the big day.
So, where do you hide their treats that they wouldn’t even dream of looking? We got our heads together at ADT HQ to bring you our top hiding places for extra present security. Enjoy:
In the garden shed
A good place to start is the garden shed. With plummeting temperatures, it’s very unlikely your inquisitive family will venture out into the cold. And if they’re that committed, maybe they deserve to know what they’re getting for Christmas!
In a suitcase
Go Russian doll style and zip your presents up in a suitcase or holdall. Most people will happily stick their nose in a cupboard or wardrobe, but not think to look that bit further.
In the cleaning cupboard
If you’re dealing with young kids, or moody teens who aren’t keen on helping around the house, this is the perfect present hiding spot.
In a laundry hamper
Now this may sound a little on the smelly side, but hear us out. All you have to do is wrap those presents in a plastic bag or a clean towel and hey presto, invisible gifts.
In the attic
One for your younger explorers. Hiding presents in an attic is ideal against little arms and legs. After all, they can’t raid what they can’t reach.
At a friend’s place
If all else fails and you’re sure they’ll foil your every hiding spot, it’s time to move those presents out of the house. Ask grandparents, or better yet swap with another family so even if the kids do go rooting, it won’t be their presents that they find.
So there you have it, our top spots for stashing Christmas gifts. Have you got the perfect spot nailed? Or do you think we’ve missed any? We’d love to hear about it on Twitter or Facebook.
